The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. Charles R. Browning, 31, of Tucson, Ariz., died June 1st in Mehtar Lam, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 158th Infantry Regiment, Arizona National Guard, Gilbert, Ariz.
