The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Cpl. Derek C. Dixon, 20, of Riverside, Ohio, died June 26th while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
