Nearly 600 people came to the educational seminar on natural gas production and the Haynesville Shale at LSU-Shreveport on Tuesday night... And many were turned away shortly before the seminar began because the auditorium was at capacity... 2008, the Elm Grove Plantation #63 (100% working interest) was placed on production. On June 29, 2008, the well produced at an average rate of approximately 16.8 million cubic feet of natural gas per day with 5,600 pounds flowing casing pressure on a 26/64" choke...

Petrohawk Energy Corporation Reports Haynesville Shale Result and Leasehold Update

* The Fort Worth Business Press website has this report up this early Monday morning and it goes in part like this... Indigo Minerals LLC will sell about 89,500 acres of its Haynesville Shale properties to Calgary, Alberta, Canada based EnCana Corp. in an all-cash, $457 million transaction... Houston-based Indigo Minerals’ properties, located in several Northwest Louisiana parishes, include leased and unleased minerals and interests in 242 wellbores already drilled on the properties, according to a press release; Indigo will retain about 22,000 acres of Haynesville properties, including a contiguous 7,700 acre plot in the Logansport Field, northwest of DeSoto Parish. After the transaction, expected to close July 31, EnCana will own more than 414,500 acres of Haynesville Shale – among the top positions held in the area...
