Crude oil prices jump more that 8 percent this year

Crude oil prices have jumped more than 8 percent this year, bringing it close to the record of $70.85 that was hit last August 30th after Hurricane Katrina. Some analysts have warned that if Iran is sent to the UN Security Council over its nuclear program and sanctions follow, oil prices could jump above 100 dollars per barrel. New threats from al-Qaeda have contributed to trader jitters too...
