DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Capt. Erick M. Foster, 29, of Wexford, Penn., died August 29th in Balad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit during combat operations in Muqdadiyah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
