As of 11:00 AM AST the center of Hurricane Dean was located near Latitude 17.0 North... Longitude 75.1 West... or about 130 miles East-Southeast of Kingston Jamaica and about 215 miles West-Southwest of Port Au Prince Haiti.

Hurricane Dean has Maximum Sustained Winds near 145 MPH with higher gust. Dean is a Category Four Hurricane. Fluctuations in intensity are common in major Hurricanes... and some fluctuations in intensity are likely with Dean during the next 24 hours.

Hurricane Force Winds extend outward up to 60 miles from the center and Tropical Storm Force Winds extend outward up to 205 miles.

The Estimated Minimum Central Pressure is 926 MB... 27.34 Inches.
