2002 Olympic Gold Medalists Praise Romney in New Political TV Ad

…………………
My Take:

Romney’s Rescue of 2002 Olympics and Situation of the Time
.
I believe the one thing that hardly ever gets mentioned about Mitt Romney’s rescue of the 2002 Olympics is the situation of the time. That it all went down so soon after 9/11 and that the overall security of the Nation was still not yet sure.
.
The 2002 Utah Winter Olympics in the end did become a huge success. In fact it was one of the most successful Olympic Games ever! That’s something that cannot be spun as non-fact either. And this success even came after so many worries and after all the bad writings and broadcast news during this time over the overall security, cost, and if there would be any kind of success at all of this grand event.
.
Fortunately for all, Mitt Romney took this disaster by the horns and brought it back from between a 300 to 400 million dollar deficit and turned it around into a 100 million dollar surplus. Not too shabby, Mitt -- not too shabby at all!
.
I know not about you, but I remember this time in history very well. I remember that when all was said and spun, the 2002 Winter Olympics brought us so much pride to this, (at the time,) wounded country of ours.
.
It really was a great time in the history of our great country, even after so much pain, suffering and fear had been brought down upon us not so many months before.
.
In the heading of my Blog I write:
.
No matter what your political views might be... One thing is for certain. In these days of fast news and even faster life styles... We all seem to have forgotten those moments in history that so abruptly and tragically changed this beloved Country of ours... 9/11… How soon we forget…
.
Funny how that holds so true, even after just under eleven years has passed us by, since that tragic day. It also holds true to the forgetfulness of most people on how things really were during those first few days, weeks, months and first years thereafter.
.
Bottom line… Mitt, job well done sir, and thank you.

POST UPDATE:
Mitt Romney delivered his first foreign policy speech today in Jerusalem - Job Well Done!
Sunday, July 29, 2012
.
* The Guardian brings us the following report this early Sunday afternoon and it starts off like this… Mitt Romney has made a staunch declaration of unity with Israel against the Iranian nuclear threat, pledging that the US “will not look away” in the face of an existential challenge faced by the Jewish state… In his first foreign policy speech, delivered against the dramatic backdrop of the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City, the presumptive Republican candidate insisted that the US must use “any and all measures” to prevent a nuclear Iran…

.
* JPOST.com has this report that goes in part like this.Addressing Iran, Romney said that the US has a “solemn duty” not to let Iran’s leaders act on their malevolent intentions toward Israel. He stated that history teaches that when despotic regimes secure weapons, peace gives way to violence… Romney added that while he hopes diplomatic measures and economic sanctions will stop Iran’s nuclear drive, no option should be excluded to stop a nuclear Iran…

POST UPDATE:
Mitt Concluded Three-Nation International Tour on Tuesday
Monday, July 31, 2012
.
* The Washington Post has the following report posted on their website this Monday afternoon and it starts off like this… Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney concluded his three-nation international tour on Tuesday with a speech that praised Poland as a beacon of conservative economic ideas in Europe, then used a television interview to try to explain earlier controversial comments in Israel… Romney had seemed to suggest during a speech at a Jerusalem fundraiser that the economy of the Palestinian territories lagged behind Israel’s in part because of “culture.” The former Massachusetts governor said in a Fox News Channel interview Tuesday that he “did not speak about the Palestinian culture or the decisions made in their economy.”… “That’s an interesting topic that perhaps could deserve scholarly analysis, but I actually didn’t address that. Certainly don’t intend to address that during my campaign,” he said, according to a partial transcript released by Fox News Channel. “Instead, I will point out are that the choices a society makes have a profound impact on the economy and the vitality of that society.”…

A few hiccups were well noted about Mitt’s overseas trip but all in all… he didn’t do all tooo bad. And like others have mentioned, so will I. Mitt never once apologized for the United States!

Welcome home, Mitt... and looking forward to your upcoming VP pick.

Wisconsin Recall Elections - Tuesday, June 05, 2012

-- Wisconsin Recall Elections --
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch and Four Republican State Senators Face Recall Elections Today
Tuesday, June 05, 2012
.
Normally I do not post on general local elections but this round of BS has too much implication on National Politics for years to come not to mention the Presidential Election in November. Whoever wins or loses today, one way or the other… is surely going to make a BIG impact on BOTH!
.
I’m going out of my way right now to predict that Governor Walker wins this thing hands down tonight. (Polls I’ve seen over the last week suggest it to be so.) But the fate of the others… well I’m not so much sure on them. Yet, I’m really hoping Walker carries them all to a win too. We shall see soon enough.
That’s it for now… until the final results come in later tonight.........

GOOD LUCK to ALL my Republican friends!
Polls close 8:00pm CDT

POST UPDATE:
Early Wednesday afternoon
June 06, 2012
12:35pm CDT
.
Well… it’s looking like many of us are going to have to take back what we predicted last night saying ALL FOUR Republicans will keep their sets. Sadly, it is now looking like one of them might have lost by just under 800 votes and if it turns out to be so… the Dems will assume control of the Wisconsin State Senate.
.
As of now and after the last votes were counted this morning… it looks like JOHN LEHMAN (D) got 50.5% of the vote and if all goes well for him, will have squeaked out a win over incumbent Van Wanggaard (R) who got 49.5% of the vote. That’s a 779 vote count difference between the two men and I’m sure a RECOUNT is now in the making… OHHH LORD… HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! LOL………
Read the report by JSOnline.com at link below…
...
Now… if I was Van Wanggaard, I’d be making SURE a recount happens. Funny how those numbers changed late last night to this morning by such a LARGE margin… Just saying!
ANYWAY… again I say…
CONGRATS to ALL our Republican winners!
And thank you Wisconsin…
It was one heck of a night for you…
and this Great Country of ours.

Presidential Election 2012 - Texas Primary

Today we have the
Texas Primary
Tuesday, May 29th, 2012
.
Romney Campaign file photo
.
While waiting on the election results to come in tonight… check out these reports I ran across earlier today
.
- FoxNews.com brings us the following report and it starts off like this… Mitt Romney, after weathering an onslaught of rotating primary challengers over the course of the last year, is poised to clinch the Republican presidential nomination as early as Tuesday… In doing so, his campaign will complete its shift, from knocking off Republican rivals one by one to challenging a single Democratic opponent, President Obama…
Read this report in full HERE
.
- The Washington Post has this report and it starts off like this… This day is mostly about math for Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney… Not fuzzy math or new math but the simple one-plus-one addition kind of math. By day’s end, if all goes as expected, the former Massachusetts governor will finally have a mathematical lock on the Republican presidential nomination… Never mind that he’s been the frontrunner since the Iowa and New Hampshire contests in January and the presumptive nominee since his last major opponent — former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum — suspended campaigning on April 10… Even so, “I need to get 50.1 percent or more” Romney said ahead of the Tuesday GOP primary in Texas expected to push him above the required 1,144 delegate threshold…

Presidential Election 2012 - Arkansas, Kentucky Primaries

Today we have the
Arkansas, Kentucky Primaries
Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012
.
.Romney Campaign file photo
.
While waiting on the election results to come in tonight… check out these 2 reports I ran across earlier today from Fox News
.
- Mitt Romney was inching closer to officially claiming the Republican presidential nomination as Arkansas and Kentucky voted in primaries Tuesday… With no serious opposition left, the former Massachusetts governor was certain to pad his lead in the hunt for delegates to the GOP's nominating convention in late August. If he dominates Tuesday as expected, Romney should reach the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination next week, when Texas voters go to the polls…

- Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is declining to renew the endorsement he gave Barack Obama four years ago, when he called Obama “a transformational figure.”…
Read the rest at link below…
Powell not ready to endorse Obama for re-election
Yeah… Mr. Powell all KINDS of screwed up when he went out of his way to back Obama for President a few years back. And he now SOOO knows IT too!

Today, Tuesday, May 22nd, we have Arkansas (33/3) and Kentucky (42/3) voting. We end the month on May 29th in Texas (152/3). On June 5th we have 5 primaries and they are California (169/3), New Jersey (50/0), Montana (0/26), New Mexico (20/3) and South Dakota (25/3). With the Texas Primary coming up at the end of the month, May 29th, and all its Delegates up for grabs, (152/3 winner takes all,) well… this will surely put Mitt Romney well over the top, (being it is already a foregone conclusion that Mitt will win Texas hands down.) In other words… after the Texas Primary is up and all the votes counted, Mitt will have FINALLY… OFFICIALLY… CLINCHED! … The Republican Presidential Candidate Nomination!

Presidential Election 2012 - Nebraska, Oregon Primaries

Today we have the
Nebraska, Oregon Primaries
Tuesday, May 15th, 2012
.
Romney Campaign file photo
.
While waiting on the election results to come in tonight…
.
Ron Paul told supporters vie email on Monday, May 14th, that he would no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted. But not to worry… he would continue to accumulate delegates all the way to the Republican National Convention that will be held in Tampa, Florida this coming August. Sooo… I guess in a roundabout way… Mr. Paul has pretty much SUSPENDED his Campaign! Even though they say he has not...    lol
.
As far as Mitt goes… he should win enough delegates by month’s end to formally take the Republican 2012 Presidential Nomination. According to the last AP tally that I’ve seen, Mitt has a total of 966 delegates in the pocket with only 178 delegates left to go. He needs a grand total of 1144 delegates to put him over the top. Sooo… as said above, Mitt should have this thing all wrapped up by month’s end.
States left to vote - (Pledged/Unpledged) Delegates up for Grabs:
Today, May 15th we have Nebraska (32/3) and Oregon (25/3) voting. One week later on May 22nd, we have Arkansas (33/3) and Kentucky (42/3). We end the month on May 29th in Texas (152/3). On June 5th we have 5 primaries and they are California (169/3), New Jersey (50/0), Montana (0/26), New Mexico (20/3) and South Dakota (25/3). Utah (40/0) will be the last state to vote this year and that will be on June 26th.

These things are just no fun anymore with the end results known beforehand! But… we watch them to the end any-old-way.    Lol
.
Anyway… Congrats MITT on another good night!
Almost THERE!!!

Original Post time: 2:45pm CDT
I will be updating this post after Polls close this evening so check back!
.
Depending from whom one gets their Delegate Count totals from, today I’m using info from CNN News… The Total Delegate Count going into these April 24th Primaries are as follows: Mitt Romney 695 delegates - Rick Santorum 273 - Newt Gingrich 141 and Ron Paul 72.
.
1,144 delegates are needed for the Official Republican Nomination.
.
……………………………………..

While we wait for the results to come in tonight, I just have to say a few words about my former man, Newt…
.
After reading through many a political article over the last few days… I see Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Campaign have been suggesting that the end may be finally near for the former House Speaker’s struggling presidential campaign. Especially if he fares poorly in today’s Delaware Republican Primary.
.
From what I’ve read… he has spent a LOT of time of late campaigning there and needs a 1st or STRONG 2nd place finish. I really don’t see this happening... SOOO…
.
We love ya Newt, but it’s over my friend. Time to stand aside and let Mitt and his Team go after President Obama with the complete backing of the Republican Party… and you!
.
I for one really do hope we hear a great speech out of you tonight, Newt. And then see you gracefully bow from the 2012 Presidential Race, throwing your FULL support behind Mitt Romney, the NEXT President of the United States. But if you cannot find yourself to do it tonight… at least make it so in the next few days.
.
With that said, we shall soon enough see how tonight’s events unfold.

Congrats MITT!!!
On your FIVE STATE Winning SWEEP!
Yes sir… It has been another great night for Mitt Romney with his BIG WINS in all FIVE STATES... And man… what a powerful, uplifting… Presidential Speech Mitt gave us just a while ago. POWERFUL STUFF!!!
Be sure to click it out at link below…
...
- Also tonight and at about the same time as Mitt’s speech was going on…
NOTE: They were having problems with getting Newt’s video working as I posted this but the link has GOOD info on what he had to say, in part… and maybe they will get his speech up and running soon enough. For now, Newtdid acknowledge that he will need to consider whether to continue his campaign “Over the next few days, we're going to look, realistically, at where we're at,” he said, promising to continue to campaign in North Carolina this week. “We're also going to think about how we can be most helpful to this country.”…

And again… keep up with the latest election results in all five states at links above from Fox and CSPAN!

Update:
Wednesday afternoon
I do think it's pretty clear that Governor Romney is ultimately going to be the nominee and we're going to do everything we can to make sure that he is, in fact, effective and that we as a team are effective both in winning this fall and then, frankly, in governing.”
Newt Gingrich
The word is out this early Wednesday afternoon that Newt Gingrich will officially drop out of the 2012 Presidential Race in an upcoming event sometime this coming Tuesday, May 1st And it is also being reported that it is all but certain that he WILL endorse Mitt Romney for President at this time.
.
As of right now… Newt will complete his North Carolina schedule as planned this week, making it into something of a goodbye tour. Good for you Newt. And I might add make it a memorable, powerful exit too.
