Forecast Calls for 60 Percent Chance of Acceptable Conditions

SpaceX is putting the finishing touches on its Dragon capsule and Falcon 9 rocket as launch day nears for the SpaceX CRS-1 cargo flight to the International Space Station. Weather forecasters are eyeing the possibility of thick clouds and rain as Sunday's launch time approaches. Liftoff is scheduled for 7:35pm CDT with an instantaneous launch window. The Dragon will carry about 1,000 pounds of experiment equipment and crew supplies to the orbiting laboratory during the first operational cargo mission for the company's flagship launcher and spacecraft.

SpaceX Managers Gave the “Go” for Sunday Launch

SpaceX managers held a Launch Readiness Review Friday afternoon and gave a “go” to proceed toward launch of the SpaceX Commercial Resupply Services-1 (CRS-1) mission on Sunday.

On Saturday, NASA TV will air an International Space Station Science Briefing at 3pm EDT and the SpaceX CRS-1 Prelaunch News Conference at 6pm on NASA Television and on the Web at www.nasa.gov/ntv.

.

The weather forecast remains 60 percent favorable conditions for launch, Sunday.

    The much anticipated 1^st debate between Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama will be held this Wednesday, October 3^rd and it will be broadcast at 8:00pm, CDT on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as all the cable news channels including Fox News, CNN and MSNBC amongst others.

.

   Jim Lehrer, the host of ‘News Hour’ on PBS, will be our Debate Moderator and it should last around 1 ½ hours.

.

    The first debate is said to focus on domestic policy but I hope they also get into the protests and terror attacks that killed our Libyan Ambassador and three others.

.

    Now… this will be the first time for all of us voters to finally get a one on one, where the two candidates take it to each other, face to face, challenging each other on their own personal views.

.

    What once was believed to be the main issue of this election year, our faltering economy and all that goes along with it, has now given way to a National Security debate too.

.

    A few weeks ago… why did the Obama Administration come out as they did over the protests and the Terror Attacks that killed our Libyan Ambassador and three others?  Was there a White House Cover-Up?  Did the White House deliberately mislead the American people for political gain?  Did Romney speak fact or fiction just hours after the attacks were known?  Did Romney speak out to soon?  Did he speak out of turn?  These are a few things I hope both candidates are forced to address in Debate #1 and neither allowed to heehaw around on the topic if it comes down to it.

.

    With that said, no matter how the first debate goes down…  May the best man WIN!  Governor Mitt Romney of course!!!

And after Debate #1

Hello gang. Wasn't that one of the best Presidential Debates you have ever seen!!!? I just pray that the next 3 debates, and yes, that is counting the VP Debate next week, cuts the men loose and let them talk it out between themselves like they did tonight.

.

It was a bit of fresh air to hear both men talk for once, pretty much unchecked… without having all those lights and time count downs and those annoying buzzers!

.

I for one thought both men looked very much at ease tonight, in their own skin if I may… and neither seemed to make any mistakes.

.

The knowledge of ALL the topics by both men was very impressive to me. But if you read any of the main papers in the morning… more than not they will give Mitt Romney a BIG WIN for tonight’s performance!

.

I’ll end by saying this… I can’t wait until the next Debate begins. Ryan should be dynamite!

    Today, Thursday, September 27^th, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a very powerful and effective ‘Clear RED LINE Speech’ to the United Nations General Assembly… And I for one do so believe that many across the world finally woke up to the sad realities of just what is actually going on over there in that part of the world!

        Just two days before, President Obama’s own UN speech disappointed so many Israelis by saying that America would do what it must to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power but stopped short to agreeing with Netanyahu’s demand that America set a specific ‘Red Line’ that Iran must not cross if it wishes to avoid military action.

* The Huffington Post had this report posted on their website Tuesday morning and it goes in part like this. …posters of Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei first appeared in at least six Shiite neighborhoods in Baghdad and across Iraq's Shiite-dominated south in August, as part of an annual pro-Palestinian observance started years ago by Iran. * FOX NEWS had the following report originally posted on their website early in the afternoon on Wednesday 19^th and it starts off like this… A top Obama administration official called last week's deadly assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya a "terrorist attack" for the first time -- a statement that publicly casts doubt on administration claims it was a "spontaneous" act… "Yes, they were killed in the course of a terrorist attack on our embassy," Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said during a Senate hearing Wednesday… Olsen echoed administration colleagues in saying U.S. officials have no specific intelligence about "significant advanced planning or coordination" for the attack… However, his statement goes beyond White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, saying the Sept. 11 attack on the consulate was spontaneous. He is the first top administration official to call the strike an act of terrorism…

Around 6:00pm CDT on Wednesday 19^th the following explosive info came out… Fox News… obtained a three-page intelligence report showing that two days before the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, a statement incited "sons of Egypt" to pressure America to release the so-called blind sheikh "even if it requires burning the embassy down with everyone in it."… The web statement, apparently posted on Sept. 9, was in reference to the embassy in Egypt. It preceded a throng of demonstrators breaching the U.S. Embassy wall in Cairo, supposedly in protest over an anti-Islam film. Obama administration officials claim that attackers in Libya then took their cue from Cairo and seized the opportunity to attack the consulate in Benghazi…

But for the moment the headquarters of the freelance groups that have held sway in Benghazi since the revolution that toppled Col Muammar Gaddafi are claimed to be in the hands of police and army units loyal to the newly elected Prime Minister, Mustafa Abushagur… The protests in Benghazi on Friday evening, estimated at 30,000-strong, featured pro-American slogans and banners, unusual for demonstrations in Arab countries. At first, the ones who put out the videos, in the above link, said the videos were in full… Not cut. That, well…… maybe a few minutes were not there, but it was only due to video recording error and such… Yeah --RIGHT! Didn’t buy into that one for a second and my gut feelings on this have panned out to be Sooo true!

We now know that part of the video where Romney was speaking on the Palestinian mess with Israel was cut, and was done so to deliberately take Mr. Romney WAY out of context!

.

In the first 48 hrs or so after the videos were put out… ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and of course the folks at MSNBC ran all kinds of nutty with it. But what do they say now? Will they take back their negative reporting? Don’t hold your breath… That just isn’t going to happen. Simply put… They are all WAY too far in bed with getting Obama reelected!

Fox News had the following report posted on their website Tuesday and it starts off like this… A newly released audio recording purports to feature a young Barack Obama saying he believes in government "redistribution" -- a comment that Mitt Romney quickly seized on to claim his opponent thinks "the government should take from some to give to the others."… The tape, [posted on YouTube HERE], was a throwback to the web video that emerged in 2008, [posted on YouTube HERE], showing Obama telling "Joe the Plumber" he wants to "spread the wealth around."… The full report is no longer posted on the Fox News website… Sorry!

And the Election of 2012 finally boils down to this:

Do you vote for President Obama and his failed policies that are taking us down the road to making over HALF of the American people dependant on Government, (and what’s left of the rich,) for everything? Do you vote to let Obama continue to carry us so far in debt that we will never be able to dig our way out of it? Or… do you vote for Romney who will rebuild the foundations of the American economy on the principles of free enterprise, hard work, and innovation?

Romney’s plan is simple…  Reduce taxes, spending, regulations, and reduce wasteful government programs. Romney will also increase trade, energy production, human capital, and labor flexibility too. Relinquishing power to the states instead of claiming that the Federal Government has the solution to every problem is also another one of Romney’s workable ideas, that’s truly looking forward… the right way.

Since that tragic day on 9-11-2001… many of our bravest have given their all while fighting for this great country of ours. Please take a moment to thank them, in your own way, for all they have done and were willing to do for you -- me and this great country of ours. May God bless each and every one of these fallen Heroes, all of those who have been wounded, all of their families, friends, loved ones and their comrades in arms who were at their side. Never forget those that protect us -- Each and every day...

I would also like to take a moment to remember those four brave men killed during Tuesday’s Terrorist Attack on our U.S. Consulate Compound in Libya. Sean Smith, Glen A. Doherty, Tyrone S. Woods and Ambassador Christopher Stevens… May god be with each and every one of these Fallen Heroes… along with their families in the days, months and years ahead.
