Rumsfeld Defends Servicemembers

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld defends Servicemembers accused of running a “Gulag” at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The secretary spoke earlier today during a Pentagon press conference. During the press conference, Rumsfeld asked people to remember that the detainees at Guantanamo Bay are in custody for a reason. "Remember too that the people being detained at Guantanamo are suspected terrorists," Rumsfeld said. "Many have been trained to lie and claim torture." He also went on to say that our U.S. forces have caught at least 12 detainees released from Guantanamo Bay back on the battlefield and involved in the efforts to kidnap and kill Americans.
I could be wrong but I don’t think we’ve heard any information like this out of Amnesty International… More on Press Conference at: American Forces Press Service.
