No. 054-10 January 21, 2010DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. 1st Class Michael P. Shannon, 52, of Canadensis, Pa., died January 17th, in Kabul, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to Headquarters, 7th Army and U.S. Army Europe, Heidelberg, Germany. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
