Shooter Kills 12 at Aurora Mall Movie Theater in Aurora, Colorado

Tragedy struck during a midnight premiere late last night at the Aurora Mall Movie Theater in Aurora, Colorado. A deranged gunman, (allegedly said to be one James Holmes,) burst on the scene through the emergency exit door of the theater and shot 71 innocent people… Sadly 12 of them died, 2 at the hospital, 10 on the scene.

Statement on Colorado Shooting Incident

    The Department of Defense is deeply saddened by the news of the tragic incident at the Aurora Mall Movie Theater in Aurora, Colo.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and the families of those impacted by this event.

.

    One sailor was injured and one, known to have been at the theatre that evening, is currently unaccounted for.  Two airmen were injured in the incident.  The Navy and the Air Force are working with the families of these service members to ensure they have the care and attention they need.

.

    We can also confirm that the alleged gunman in this incident, James Holmes, is not a past or current member of any branch or component of the U.S. Armed Forces.

CNN will also sponsor another Debate a little over a week later, on March 1st in Georgia. Not sure of time but would think it too would start at 7:00pm CST. Lol… if not on, would you believe 8:00!!!?

An Afghan immigrant plotted for more than a year to detonate homemade bombs in the United States, had recently bought bomb-making supplies from beauty supply stores and was looking for "urgent" help in the past two weeks to make explosives, an indictment charged Thursday... Najibullah Zazi -- a 24-year-old airport shuttle driver who authorities said received explosives and weapons training from al-Qaida during a trip to Pakistan last year -- was charged in New York with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction...

* The Wall Street Journal has the following report posted up on their website this Tuesday and it starts off like this... Federal investigators probing an alleged bombing plot with suspected ties to al Qaeda are trying to track purchases of chemicals that could be used to make explosives, as three men charged as a result of the probe appeared in court Monday... Two officials familiar with the probe said investigators were combing records on the purchases of chemicals, particularly hydrogen peroxide, that could be used to make bombs. Peroxide-based explosives were used in a deadly attack on London's subway and bus system in July 2005, and al Qaeda's interest in such explosives has been a top concern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation for almost two years, according to intelligence assessments made public...

FBI Arrests Colorado Father, Son and Another from New York Connected With Ongoing Terror Probe

* Bloomberg.com had this report posted up on their website late this Sunday morning and it starts off like this... The Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested three men from Afghanistan on charges of making false statements in connection with a terrorist investigation, according to the Department of Justice... Federal authorities in Colorado arrested Najibullah Zazi, 24, and his father, Mohammed Wali Zazi, 53, the Justice Department said in an e-mailed statement. The third man, Ahmad Wais Afzali, 37, was apprehended in New York... “The arrests are part of an ongoing and fast-paced investigation,” David Kris, assistant attorney general for national security, said in the statement. “It is important to note that we have no specific information regarding the timing, location or target of any planned attack.”...

An alleged al-Qaeda terror operative told investigators he received training in "weapons and explosives" from Osama Bin Laden's goons last year, according to documents released Sunday... Najibullah Zazi admitted he visited Pakistan's war torn tribal areas for the training, documents said... Zazi, 25, was collared by the FBI late Saturday night in Aurora, Colo., along with his father, Mohammed Wali Zazi... Also arrested was Ahmad Wais Afzali, 37, the imam of a mosque in Flushing, Queens... Possible Sighting of FBI Fugitive in British Columbia

The FBI is working with Canadian authorities to confirm the possible sighting of one of its Domestic Terrorism fugitives.
.
Last November, the Bureau announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of four eco-terrorists known as “The Family.”
.
Rebecca Rubin, one of the four fugitives, was spotted by a tipster who may have seen her near her hometown of Vancouver, British Columbia.
.
We received several tips about all of the fugitives as a result of the publicity.
.
Some of the information was pretty specific about Rebecca Rubin
The FBI is working through its agents assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa as well as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to follow up on this information.
Rubin and three other fugitives, Joseph Dibee, Josephine Overaker, and Justin Solondz, are all believed to be living abroad.

It has been 10 years since the group torched a ski resort in Vail, Colorado, causing $26 million in damage and drawing international attention to eco-terrorists—those who break the law in the name of the environment and animal rights.
.
Here are the charges against the four:
.
Dibee was indicted in 2006 on charges of arson, conspiracy, and animal enterprise terrorism. He is believed to be living in Syria with family members.
.
Overaker has been on the run since 2001. She was indicted in 2004, with subsequent indictments in 2006, including for her involvement with the 1998 Vail arson. She is believed to have spent time in Germany and may have settled in Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish.
.
Rubin was indicted in 2006 for the Vail arson and other domestic terrorism crimes. A Canadian citizen, she has strong family ties to Canada and may be living there.
.
Solondz was also indicted in 2006 on charges that include arson, conspiracy, and animal enterprise terrorism. He was out of the country when he was indicted and has never returned. Solondz has traveled in Russia, China, and India.
.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of any fugitive should contact their nearest law enforcement agency, FBI Field Office, or U.S. Embassy.
