* Guardain.co.uk brings us the following report and it begins like this... Anders Behring Breivik, the man accused of the murder of at least 92 Norwegians in a bomb and gun massacre, boasted online about his discussions with the far-right English Defence League and other anti-Islamic European organisations... The Norwegian Prime Minister, Jens Stoltenberg, said Norwegian officials were working with foreign intelligence agencies to see if there was any international involvement in the slaughter. "We have running contact with other countries' intelligence services," he said... Breivik was arrested on Utøya island where he shot and killed at least 85 people, mostly teenagers, at a youth summer camp for supporters of Norway's Labor Party after bombing Oslo's government district just hours before... I would post all about this event, one year later... But sadly, you know the drill.
.
If reading anything out there on the web, from an author of the Left persuasion... you’ll read that everything is still going to hell in a hand basket.
.
If reading from and author on the Right, you’ll read that all is well, pretty much and that it has been one of the fastest recoveries ever.
.
I find that the true, as always, is riding somewhere in the middle of the two. With that said... Today is not and should not be about the politics brought on by this tragic event one year ago but should be about the lives we lost that day.
.
May god bless all 11 men that we lost that tragic day and also, Lord... Please be with all their families, friends and loved ones who have soooo suffered from their losses...
.

Our thoughts and prayers still go out to all those affected by this tragic accident from one year ago.

The Japan Quake - One Month Later - April 11, 2011

The Japan Quake - One Month Later
It’s been one month today since Japan suffered that massive, deadly earthquake and tsunami. Today we reflect on that tragic day and all the heartfelt pains and joys that have been so much part of the story all these days later

- On March 11, 2011, an earthquake struck off the coast of Japan, churning up a devastating tsunami that swept over cities and farmland in the northern part of the country and set off warnings as far away the west coast of the United States and South America. Recorded as 9.0 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit the country. As the nation struggled with a rescue effort, it also faced the worst nuclear emergency since Chernobyl...

* JapanToday.com brings us the following report early this Monday afternoon and their report starts off like this... Sirens wailed and people bowed their heads and wept along Japan’s devastated northeast coast Monday as they marked a month since the tsunami that killed up to 25,000 people and unleashed a persistent nuclear crisis... With thousands of bodies yet to be found, a tsunami-flooded nuclear power plant still spewing radiation and more than 150,000 people living in shelters, there was little time for reflection on Japan’s worst disaster since World War II...

* The Washington Post has this troubling report today and their report starts off like this... Japan won’t stop shaking... Monday, one month after the horrific March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the island was rattled anew by an aftershock, this one measuring at magnitude 6.6. It was hardly a major temblor, but it was strong enough to knock out electricity briefly at the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant. Four days earlier, a magnitude 7.1 quake led to four deaths and widespread power outages. With soldiers still looking for the bodies of thousands of people who vanished a month ago, Japan is coping with the painful reality that it is sits in a seismic bull’s eye...

* Also from The Washington Post is this report today and it goes in part like this... In the month since an epic earthquake and tsunami destroyed Japan’s northeastern coast, evacuation centers have transformed from places where people can stay into places people wish to leave. Most shelters now feature heat and running water and three good meals a day. But they don’t offer privacy, a place to grieve or an opportunity to rebuild. The problem is, few evacuees have found other places to go...

Iran: On Ground Updates
A government that can only stay in power by shooting its own people in the streets and blocking their communication with the outside world is in serious trouble...

.
* The bloody events of recent days in Iran have demonstrated the repressive nature of the regime and the deep discontent surfacing in a country denied democratic freedoms. A government that can only stay in power by shooting its own people in the streets and blocking their communication with the outside world is in serious trouble...

There is still time to foil Iran's bomb plot
.
* Our friends at the Debka.com website had the following good read posted up on their website on the 28th... Iranian sources reveal that Mir Hossein Mousavi's nephew, Ali Habib, was not shot dead during a Tehran demonstration Sunday, Dec. 27, as reported, but waylaid and gunned down as he left his home. Fresh riots followed the disappearance of the body from the hospital Monday. The episode became even more ominous when Iran's security services Chief Gen. Radan accused Mousavi of the murder to incite further violence. The opposition fears that the murder of Mousavi's nephew augurs physical liquidations of its leaders... The current upsurge of violence across Iran is the most dangerous yet because for the first time demonstrators are turning round to attack security forces, the Revolutionary Guardsmen and Basijj paramilitaries...

.
Well... The above point a view by William Hague at the Telegraph.co.uk website pretty much sums the events up over the last so many days in Iran! Sadly... sanctions are a year or two too late and I believe only military action by Israel will bring this mess to a halt... and for at least 3 to 5 years.
.
Only then will we AGAIN... have the breathing room to give the Iranian people a chance to make a Regime Change within their government... One that the west and the rest of the world can live with.
.
Bottom line is there is a time when blood must be shed... Look at what is going on in the streets of Iran over the last so many days... The people of Iran have made their minds up and the time for CHANGE is NOW!
.
Light ‘em up, Israel!!!
History’s calling...

* AP brings us the following report early this Wednesday afternoon and it starts off like this… Protesters and riot police clashed in the streets around Iran's parliament Wednesday as hundreds of people converged on a Tehran square in defiance of government orders to halt demonstrations demanding a new presidential election, witnesses said… Police beat the protesters gathered on Baharestan Square with batons and fired tear gas canisters and rounds of ammunition into the air, the witnesses told The Associated Press. They said some demonstrators fought back while others fled to another Tehran plaza, Sepah Square, about a mile (2 kilometers) to the north… A helicopter could be seen hovering over central Tehran, where a witness told the AP that the area was swarming with hundreds of riot police who were trying to prevent people from gathering even briefly. Thousands more security officers filled the surrounding streets, said the witness, who declined to give his name for fear of government reprisals… Amateur video posted Wednesday on YouTube showed young men and women throwing rocks and pushing barricades, one blazing, in the street. Others shouted: "Death to the dictator!"

Videos posted on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter show her bleeding from the nose and mouth as a crowd tries unsuccessfully to stanch the flow and save her life… The video also shows a moving clip of a man identified by some as her father or professor cradling her head and yelling out, "Neda, don't be afraid.
