Mail&Guardian online is reporting Israel has postponed a planned incursion into the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanun, apparently to allow negotiations to continue... We are in one of the most significant moments with respect to deciding the rules of the game between us and terrorist elements in the Palestinian Authority," Defence Minister Amir Peretz was quoted as saying today.

YnetNews.com is reporting IDF delays entry into northern Gaza Strip, but fire continues... Palestinian sources reported Thursday evening that two power stations were hit by artillery shells, causing a black out. Meanwhile, six Qassam rockets fired Thursday from the northern Gaza Strip landed in the western Negev. Two of the rockets landed near the industrial zone south of Ashkelon, narrowly missing a strategic site. Two rockets were fired at Sderot, one landing near a school's gymnasium. The other two rockets landed near Kibbutz Mavkiim. There were no reports of injuries or damage. Read this story in full HERE
