I for one, AubreyJ, would like to say- Thanks to all who serve in the National Guard and to their families also. It’s times like these that all Americans need to open their eyes and truly see what’s going on around them……
I would also like to say this- Over the next few days we will surely know who our true friends are in this World we live in. With all the aid we give all around the world… Who is going to step up and offer to help us out in our time of need??? We shall soon see……
** Officials at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Miss. , announced plans today to evacuate 416 now-homeless veterans from the hurricane-decimated home and move them to its sister facility in Washington.

** Not enough said about the devastation in Mississippi. So let’s go and look at it. This Video from Skycopter3 of WLBT3 TV will leave you near speechless… A must see- around 20 minutes long video with commentary...................

**ALL RESIDENTS ON THE EAST BANK OF ORLEANS AND JEFFERSON REMAINING IN THE METRO AREA ARE BEING TOLD TO EVACUATE AS EFFORTS TO SANDBAG THE LEVEE BREAK HAVE ENDED. THE PUMPS IN THAT AREA ARE EXPECTED TO FAIL SOON AND 9 FEET OF WATER IS EXPECTED IN THE ENTIRE EAST BANK WITHIN THE NEXT 12-15 HOURS.
** Over 100 Dead have been reported in Mississippi and that number is sure to rise. No reports as yet out of Louisiana… These numbers are going to be real- real high I’m afraid when all the counting is finally done. I just don’t want to think about it– really…
** Looting is out of hand. One person said it looked like it did back during the fall of Baghdad, Iraq… All the video feeds I’ve seen so far seem to back that view too…
** Again- night has fallen so I think I’ll wait to do another post when more info has had time to be collected. First post before noon tomorrow- Wednesday 8/31/05.
** I’ll end tonight by asking everyone to say their prayers for the victims of this massive storm. This one is for you MAX- Hope you and yours made out ok and I’m looking so forward to your blogs in the future when this nightmare is nothing more than a fading memory…
Good night my friend,

AubreyJ..................................
