The Wall Street Journal website brings us this report today and it starts off like this... Before Mitt Romney dropped out of the race for the Republican nomination, he and Sen. John McCain were frequently pounding one another in television advertisements, automated phone calls, stump speeches and debates... Today, Romney put their bitter fight behind him and asked his delegates to the national convention to support McCain. “This isn’t my first joint appearance with Sen. John McCain, but it promises to be one of our more pleasant exchanges,” Mr. Romney said. “Even when the contest was close and our disagreements were debated, the caliber of the man was apparent.”...

Standing side by side at a news conference in Boston, both men acknowledged their sometimes acrimonious disagreements over the past year but vowed to work together to beat the Democrats in November...
