DoD Identifies Army Casualty


The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. Timothy J. Hutton, 21, of Dillon, Mont., died August 4th in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered in a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 54th Engineer Battalion, 18th Engineer Brigade, Bamberg, Germany. The incident is under investigation.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Ronald A. Schmidt, 18, of Newton, Kan., died August 3rd in Balad, Iraq, of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Ashraf, Iraq, on Aug. 2. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 161st Field Artillery, Kansas Army National Guard, Kingman, Kan. The incident is under investigation.
