National Day of Prayer and Remembrance - National POW/MIA Recognition DayOn this day, Friday, September 16, 2005, President George W. Bush has marked as A National Day of Prayer and Remembrance for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Today is also National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The President has issued a proclamation commemorating Friday's observances and reminding the nation of those Americans who have sacrificed so much for their country. What you do with this day is in your hands, yet I’ll ask everyone to again say their prayers for the victims of this massive storm-- but too always say one for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, POW/MIA and their families who have paid the ultimate price for your/our freedom…
